Just killing time. Single shot image, no stacking, shot with a DiMAGE 5400 and my MM-11 setup. Thought it was interesting. I'll give the Physik a try later on this week with some magnification and my EPI setup and post on this thread.
I didn't record the magnification with the DiMAGE shot. Just guessing probably around 4x. I can't check at the moment since I have the Normarski setup on my MM-11.
Anyway, here's another shot of the same chip area but at 40x. It's also rotated. The stack was around 35 images. More shooting nomenclature is noted on the bottom of the image. I didn't keep track of the zoom and crop on this one. I probably zoomed in about 60% and cropped the image. If you can't read the nomenclature here's a link to a little larger version. Had a little trouble nailing focus. Not sure why, Oh'well.
Looks like you've got the PI Stage working very well indeed
Your setup is operating open loop so you could be experiencing some slight stage drift which could affect focus at this level of magnification and clarity.
Best,
Research is like a treasure hunt, you don't know where to look or what you'll find!

Thanks ... don't think drift is an issue. I was manually having trouble nailing a start end end focus.
