We found this beautiful diatom in the Parque Rodo, Montevideo, Uruguay
We observe it with semi-polarized light and 100X immersion objective
Panasonic GH4 camera

Wonder what it measures? (Guessing around less than 20 um) Especially cool to show the pond it came out of, also very fun to visit Parque Rodo in Montevideo via the miracle of Google Maps. Nicely put together Carlos, gracias amigo.

EDIT: After Carlos' reply, I look again and see the scale bar in the image. How'd I miss it? Maybe I need a microscope to look at the computer. :P

Hi,
this is the configuration:
100X oil immersion objective
Brightfield,
Analyzer and polarizer non totally crossed
Olympus U-DICTS slide to give relief
without dic prisms (because they are expensive and I do not have it)
