Very nice and interesting lighting you're getting here Ken. Especially with the 40X. I like it.

Normally a 40X objective doesn't work to well for me in darkfield but this time around it appears I got fair results. That thing reminds me of one of those monster brains I used to see late night on KTLA in Los Angles, when I would watch "Elvira Presents." But, of course, we "all" know why we watched "Elvira." :wink:

Ken, nice to see a ventral view of the micromite. I have read the excretory gland is in the mid-gut. Could it be the orifice is actually in a lower portion of the 2nd image? Maybe not... one might have to witness a #2 to know. I like your butt hair.

Thanks Jim and I believe you are right. As it just so happens I have a No. 2 shot of the excretory orfice/gland. :wink:
