Pediastrum boryanum in Phasecontrast

Post by ralfwagner »

Hello,

my latest finding was a nice Pediastrum boryanum. I did many fotos of that algae before, but never in phase contrast. So, here it is:

Image
Zeiss 40x/0,75 PlanNeo Ph2, 3 pics stacked with CombineZM, background digitally "washed"

Enjoy!

Ralf,
Excellent phase-contrast shot. I've had a tough time trying to "stack" P-C images, but this looks really nice.

Charles,

thanks for your kind words. It is my experience, too, that stacking with phase contrast pics is difficult. Most of my tries resulted in something disarranged. But this one seems to be a lucky exception :D.
