Ascorbic Acid droplets on slides. So far, I have been sun-air drying on a windowsill on black paper.
Different drying speeds and the effect of temperature can result in different crystaline formations.
This series was prepared with Ascorbic Acid dissolved in warm water and then an equal amount of rubbing alcohol was added. The slides were heated directly on the surface of an electric gravy-warmer appliance. The really unique part of this technique was a series of "pinwheel" structures.
