Hi everybody,
A picture ,not spectacular, of a mud-bacterium.It play a important part in carbon and sulfur cycle.big inclusions are calcium carbonate.

Bon Jour Olivier,

An unusual subject and a difficult one to get a good picture. Over the years I have seen Achromatium many times. For a long time I had no idea what it was - even if it was a living organism! I never see more than one or a few at a time. I have never seen it dividing as in your photo. Congratulations on such a clean photo with very little debris.
