An interesting fly

Post by mtuell »

I honestly had no plans to take any pictures tonight, but you know how these things go...

A type of fly that I don't recall seeing before landed on my beer glass as I was reading and relaxing after work. So much for relaxing!

First, a stack/stitch (it didn't want to do the wing tip, so here you go...) with the Helios 44 / Nikkor 55-200 combo.

And, my son thought it was cool and ended up taking a small stack of his own - his very first stack!

Next, I went to the Optiphot with BD - 5x and 10x. The 5x is a stack of 127 images. The 10x is a stack of 47 images.

Looks like I could have used a couple of more steps in the 10x...

Never mind. At least it wasn't 400 steps by hand, with them not quite close enough... !

Good to get the lad going. His is equally , er, "sharp" :( all over!
