Water mites is a preparation on the pads, so they do not crush, I put two pads of thick cover slips. On top put a thin glass 0.17 mm.

1 - Pol
2-3 - epi (scattered light)
4-6 - autoFL (UV)

As I've only used very simple microscopy, these views are bewildering!

How is it, that for example in number 6, the two creatures look so different?

The most important are the lenses, the microscope is only rack / frame /
These are two completely different species. Otherwise react to UV light.
