Some arranged Diatoms slides

Post by Nidhogg »

Hello!
I've been practicing this technique in the last months and so far these are some of the slides I menaged to make. Unfortunatly my low magnification setup is not good and pictures' quality is low, but they can still give an idea of the composition!

Great work!

Did you arrange the diatoms yourself?

Which of the following glue recipe did you use or would you recommend:

Thank you.

Smashing! The second one is my favourite. Looks like there was some serious breath-holding and tongue-sticking-out needed for the placement on that one :)

Great work. Like Beatsy I really like number two, the 'snowflake'. Just a few types of diatom, but a great design and execution. Super in dark ground illumination.

I like them a lot! You should consider making some prepared slides and selling them. I'd buy one.
