Objectives used were a LOMO dry 40x 0.65 (for Phacus) and a 20x 0.4 (for the slender Euglenoid). Using objective NA above 0.85 produced too much out-of-focus halos. Recorded using afocal micro 4/3 camera with 30mm lens over 10x visual eyepiece. Bausch & Lomb paraboloid darkfield condenser oiled to slide.
Euglenoids seem to be difficult subjects for microphotography. They rarely sit flat (like to swim up and down and twist) and they are often kicked
around like soccer ball by Parameciums.
A low resolution still capture is included herein for preview.
