HI,
Another approach to photography. This is smashed onion roots. I was looking for nucleus during split. There was no staining.
First one is with phase contrast, rest in fluo.

You might try methylene blus stain to bring out the chromoseomes.

Now I'm looking at fluorescence staining, but most of them are really toxic, so any hints on what I can use at home will be helpful.
