Opal (landscape)

Post by jimsfault »

Hi all.
I mostly lurk but here's a photo.
This is opal with matrix from Jalisco, Mexico. FOV=3.05mm
Mitu5xPA, 5DSr, Wild M450 - 197 image stack @ 0.025mm steps.
I'm lucky that the colors in opal are so amorphous because the stacking relics (seen running horizontally through the left blue and green) are believable as part of the aesthetic.
