I assume it is some kind of flower beetle, but if somebody does recognize the family, please let me know.
I've been experimenting a bit with illumination, pic 2 is epi combined with halogen/led but contains optical errors. Pic 3/4 is epi combined with ringlight.
On the left of pic 4 (detail)you can see pollen stuck to the beetle's body.Pic 5 is an image of the compound eye, in every facet you can see the reflection of my epi objective!
