Hi everybody,
A picture of a big Euplote, probably E.patella, who was quiet but not for a long time.my setup has no flash,so it's difficult to photograph moving subjects.
obj X40.
best regards.

Hi Olivier

that is a fantastic shot with lots of nice details. Especially the AZM is captured superbly!!

What camera are you using? Any chance of connecting an external flash?

Kind regards

Bernhard

Hi bernhard,
thanks for your comments.
no chance to add a flash,my camera is a CMOS dedicaced for microscopy.
this is the "Bresser 3megapixel model".it's simple to use,but no improvment is possible.
best regards.

Hi Olivier

that is very interesting!! We are discussing these cameras very often in our german forum and it is generally agreed that they're no good. Your pics prove that to be wrong, because I think they are very nice, also the Arcella recently. I think I'll put a link in our forum to show everybody

Keep them coming!!

Bernhard,
I paid the camera 300 euros, and for the price,it do the job.
but there are a few shortcoming:bad results with darkfield(pb with contrast),some noise with low light(phaco),and inhability to "freeze" moving subjects, except slow moving like amoeba.
nevertheless,it's convenient to use.parameter like contraste, light, exposure, etc are fully adjutable.I have permanently mounted mine on the trino output,so I can take pictures quickly.
best regards

Hi Olivier

You have a Trino?? But why on earth didn`t you buy a used digicam. A Coolpix or a Powershot?

The Coolpix 990 i.e. allows an external flash. You can get one for 200€!

See my modest set up:
