These are very trippy. For a moment I was suffering subject/background inversion, and I couldn't figure out what the featureless gray critters were. :?

Absolutly amazing and stuning images !
My first sensation was very similar to Rik's one. I was slightly confused :)
How did you managed to gather such many individuals in one place and how is it done that in the image we can see only Scenedesmus, no other species or any debris ?

Very nice! These mass developments normally attract parasites, too. Watch your sample carefully and you might find interesting scenes of fungal parasites attacking.
