Coleps amphacanthus

Post by Erik »

Hello microscopists,

today I show the ciliate "Coleps amphacanthus". Because of its quickness it is not easy to catch him for a photo (in particular without flashlight). After some waiting period he was fixed beween the slides and the photoshooting could begin.

technology: 100x homogene immersion, Olympus C-40 (free hand through the eyepiece)

Hi Erik---

That is a fantastic shot for a handheld micrograph.

I agree with David. Well done, and a real nice look at the calcium carbonate plate "armor".
