Triceratium sp.

Post by Beatsy »

Another large form from the St. Laurent material (thanks Anne). This particular species (to be determined) has large pores which allow better-than-usual resolution of the underlying sieve plate.

Brightfield stack of 50 images taken with a 40/0.95 objective.

Gorgeous. B&W brings out the texture nicely.

Lovely picture.

The large Triceratium from Saint Laurent is usually named as T.Pantocsekii.

Very nice clear crisp detail in this stack, with no trace of mush or halos. Absolutely text book, congratulations. Have you thought of making a Zerene stereo pair from the stacks?
