Campanella

Post by RogelioMoreno »

I found this Campanella few days ago in my sample from lake Gamboa.

Now I am using a Canon 6D and its low noise (compared with the T3i) is very nice, also find better image quality.

We may have coverd this but "Search" isn't quite good enough:
Is the 6D free of all shutter vibration in a "quiet" mode?

"Better image quality" - it sounds almost impossible in your case... (:

Yes, it has been covered, google search is still better.
My own test:

Waldo's much more exigent test detects some vibration blur with immersion objectives and wet mount

Thanks Pau. Conclusion on the 6D - OK, if not quite perfect.
On Google search - we need a FAQ post with all the syntax examples, etc!

I like the following about the 6D:

- Low noise, it has bigger pixel size so less noise and more dynamic range. I can see that it has less noise.
- Full frame, with a bigger sensor I am more free to rotate the picture to my taste, when you are chasing fast moving specimens you do not have time to rotate the camera so with more background space around the subject and have more freedom to rotate and crop.
- The mirror does not reset (up/down/up) after each picture during live view.
- It has a silent single shot that I use with mirror lock-up and flash, the silent shot move the mirror at lower speed.
- It has a HDR mode that I have to test, it takes several pictures and does a HDR version of the shot that you are doing.
