Thanks, guys. This is the same pond that was rich in Eudorina and Volvox earlier this spring, but at this point there are none. It may be a drop in sunlight or water temperature or both.
These diatoms now occcur by the hundreds in a water drop building up from one arm to six, seven or eight arms.Many of the ones with multiple arms no longer have chlorpolasts and are dead.
