Nice images! I've just picked up a trick I thought might interest you. You can get rid of bubbles in your sections by placing your samples in a syringe with a bit of water. I use a 20mL oral syringe, but even 5mL should work. Point the tip of the syringe straight up and expel all the air, leaving just a little water and your samples in the syringe. Cover the tip of the syringe with your finger or a cap and pull down on the plunger, thus creating a vacuum. The bubbles will expand and hopefully break free from your sections. You may need to shake the syringe a bit, and you may need to repeat the process a couple of times. Once your sections sink in the water, even under vacuum, they are bubble free.
