Hi,
Some photos of green algae, which I all believe to be Pandorina (all from the same pond sample; not sure if they are all of the same species). So I arranged them according to their life cycle:
Founder morulae - inversion - large colonies - breakup.
(slightly squashed)
Image width is the same in all photos: 180 um.
PZO DIC MPl 3; Leitz NPL Fluotar 40/0.70; Projective 4x; 125 mm objective; Canon EOS 500D
Pandorina: algae colonies

Very interesting series and detailed shots. Seems to be P. morum.

Thanks guys! Thanks for the determination, Ralf.
Jarek, It's a PZO Biolar with some modifications, I'm still working on it. There were a few different versions of the 40/0.7 (same label, different construction), maybe that's also the reason. I also remove uneven background in Photoshop. I suppose you know that already, this is what I do:
Take image.
Take an image of an empty part of the slide (same layer, same exposure).
Substract the empty frame from the image.
- Photoshop: Image - Apply image - Substract, Offset 120
This removes uneven background and sensor dust.
Regards, Ichthy
