Interesting! If it is Ancystropodium (a rare freshwater oxytrichid...for more info., see Berger, Monograph of the Oxytrichidae, 778-81), this might be the first record of one in estuarine waters.
However, I can't detect the three prominent stiff caudal cirri that this ciliate should possess. Perhaps, consider that might be another "tailed" hypotrich, such as Psammomitra?
