Very nice. looks like you have a male specimen. Like some moths, male mosquitoes have very elaborate antennae to detect females.

Like some moths, male mosquitoes have very elaborate antennae to detect females.

From what I've read, both male and female mosquitoes live on plant sap, but when the female is getting fertile, she starts looking for blood. I grew up in Wisconsin USA where it is not uncommon to see people wearing tee-shirts with a large mosquito graphic reading WISCONSIN STATE BIRD.
