Rose campion pollen

Rose campion pollen

The first picture is just to get an overview. Cropped, Nikon plan apo 10x 0.45

The second picture shows two of the pollen grains seen in the first picture. Cropped, Nikon m plan 100x 0.80 elwd

Pollen grains are a challenge, so comments and suggestions for improvements are welcome.

Hi Jorgen. You did a very nice job in my opinion on your lower image with the 100X objective. Did you do any image stacking for that image? Am I correct reading your "elwd" description that you have an extended working distance with this objective? If so can you tell me how much it is? That is a low NA for a 100X and may be something I should look for.

Hi Walt
Thanks for a quick answer. The 100x is a stack of almost 170 pictures. The Nikon 100x m plan elwd has a WD of 2 mm.
