Ciliate Urotricha the spinning top with hooks

Post by carlos.uruguay »

In a bottle of freshwater,
rotating between algae Elodea,
Urotricha looks for its food
Is small, about 30um (0.03mm) long,
Its body is covered with cilia (small "hairs" that serve to swim)
A more long cilium was born in its rear end.
Its "mouth" ends in modified cilia similar to "hooks".
