ID sought, if you have the time

Post by billporter1456 »

I ran into one of these a few weeks back but didn't get any decent images at that time. Saw this one today and hopefully got adequate images for an ID. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Bill,

it is certainly a rotifer. Mybe from the genus Cephalodella?

Hi Bill.
It is very difficult only with this video to know which rotifero genre is it.
On this page you will find many good photos, and maybe you can give us some more data:

From looking at images and videos of Cephalodella, it looks to me as though that is the genus. Thank you, Franz!

Hi Carlos,

Thanks for the link. After looking at some images and videos of the genus that Franz mentioned (Cephalodella), it seems to me that's very close and probably correct.
