Rotifer Colony

Post by RogelioMoreno »

Again I found this beautiful rotifer colony. On picture #1 we can see that they have spines (maybe for protection).

Nikon TE300, Plan Apo 20x/0.75, DIC, flash, Canon T3i mounted on the front port, mag. on sensor 40X.

Rogelio, all I have to say is WOW! How did you get those Rotifers to pose for your camera?

Marvelous detail and color. Hard to imagine how the images could be improved.

Amazing!

The first shot looks like a pure science fiction creation.

Thank you very much for your comments.

They were covered with a coverglass and I noticed that after I added some drop of water at the edge of the coverglass some of they started to show the corona (before the water was added they were looking at the side) to the objetive.
