Very nice images ! The first two are the best for me, they look like artistic compositions. Very interesting effect in the first one in DF.

Waldo,
The three-armed desmid looks like Staurastrum arachne which have many variations. (Source "Desmids of the United States and List of American Pediastrums" Wolle 1892)
