My big question is... Do you infer these interpretations from what you see or do you manipulate it to represent what you want to see?

I always try to find something interesting, something more than just a species or just the microcrystals. If I can, I look for such forms and such arrangements which could remind me something similar to our ordinary world. I never manipulate it. I never add any additionals details or strange and odd colours. All what I do is improving contrast, sharpness and some cleaning from dust and debris. That's all.

Yes, the abstract photomicrography is often more interesting and often very surprising than that one which presents living organisms :D
