Freshwater Goniomonas

Goniomonas is a very small oval shaped flagellate
Those that we see in the video measure about 10um long.
In its front end born two flagellum almost of equal length
Close to the birth of the flagellum we note a row of eyectosomas, they have a defense function
Expelling "mucous filament" when Goniomonas feels threatened.
We have found them in fresh water among Elodea algae.
For an amateur as I, is very difficult to know if they belong to Goniomonas truncata or Goniomonas pacifica, both very similar.
