Backswimmer

Post by Olympusman »

At first I thought these were Boatmen, but while I was observing them on a well slide I saw them swimming on their backs. I would flip them over with a teasing needle and they would always flip over onto their backs, so it appears they are backswimmers, often mistaken for boatmen.

Thank you all for your kind comments.
I keep tinkering with lighting. I think I'm getting pretty good at darkfield and have the time to clean up the background clutter with a Wacom tablet and Wacom pen.
I'm also experimenting with tinfoil reflectors around my objectives -- both aluminum foil (cold Light) and gold foil from candy bars ( warm light).
