HI, I have finally found all the required accessories for the DIC. Here are a few of the DIC shots.

for those who are still looking for DIC prisms,
I bought the DIC prisms from ebay and there are still some left from the same seller. you can get a 50% off. the item number is 201038518359. he also has other DIC prisms for sale and all can be 50% off, these are rare New old stock and works great on my Olympus microscopes.

No 4 looks like a stray fibre of something like flax (linen). Note the transverse markings which are typical of flax (and hemp), where the material is beaten to separate the fibres following retting.

Thanks all for commenting. DIC technique can really produce some beautiful images and it's like a different world under the microscope.

Hi ken. Yes I feel the same way about these diatoms. Very interesting arrangements.

Thanks pau. Dic really made my microscopic experience much better. I will surely do enjoy using the technique. And thank you for the forums about mixing dic accessories. They are very informative.
