#1 is certainly a spectacular illusion! It looks ever so much like the top of a cliff in some surrealistic action movie, but I suppose it's really a flat structure on the slide.

Did you do anything special to cause this arrangement of crystals, or was it a lucky find?

Very nice. I really enjoy finding these false three-dimensional effects in cross-polarized crystals.

:D Thanks for the compliments.
No special technic used for prep.
Just e-salt dissolved in water,then I let it air dry on slide.
And the good fortune of being able to observe this cool crystal formation.
