Lacrymaria Living in someone else's home, second video

Post by carlos.uruguay »

In this video, we observe again a Lacrymaria inhabiting empty amoebae houses.
The first inside in Arcella empty house.
The second one inside in probably Euglypha empty house.
To this last Lacrymaria we observe very still, almost without moving.
Any information with regard to this Lacrymaria conduct will be welcome.
Phase contrast and oblique polarized light.

Thank you Arturo.
I had never seen them so small and 'sleeping' inside Euglypha

Carlos,

Really fun to see in video. These are one of the most bizarre creatures to observe "hunting". The extensible necks are amazing.
