Staurastrum gracile Very small desmid and difficult to phohotgraph. They spin and tumble. The specimen was in a drop of pond water with a drop of methyl cellulose added to increase the viscocity to slow it down, but still, I was only to get off a burst of 6 to 10 shots while scrolling through fine focus to get the full extremity of the desmid for focus stacking in Zerene.
