Golden algae in a vase, surely Ochromonas

Post by carlos.uruguay »

Generally of fresh water.
Those of the video measure between 10um (0.010mm) and 14um (0.014mm) of length
They have a long flagellum and very short other.
An ocular spot.
Two cloroplastos
In certain circumstances they acquire rounded forms.
We have found them in the heavily polluted water from a flowers vase.
Exists a very similar genre: Spumella
but Spumella is usually colorless.
Oblique light, phase contrast, immersion objective.
