great photos. Last took 84 shots, then about three minutes.
I understand that the larva is dead or anesthetized;
The second hypothesis requires a specific chemical or just need a bit of alcohol.

none of that. almost dead larvae and just a bit of luck. If you look closer you can see that the leg is a bit moved, and also guts were not still.
