About two years ago I purchased an Amscope trinocular metallurgical microscope with a CMOS camera. I cranked it up a couple of times but i found the software that supports the camera to be very frustrating. For one thing, I have yet to find a way to setup a neutral white color balance. The white balance function uses some numbers that as far as I can see have no relation to Kelvin color temperatures. I promised Dave Walker at Micscape a review, so once I've gone through the printout of the Help menu and mastered the software, a review will be forthcoming, but so far I have been unimpressed.
