Dave, I used a coverslip, remembat that I am using a inverted. I put the coverslip on the stage added water drops (from the pipette with the specimen) on the coverslip and start to watch.

That's a clever idea. I use an (older) Nikon inverted 'scope myself and I must try it. I have a stage plate with a smallish hole that a large rectangular coverslip would cover nicely.
