This is Vancouver. Like taxes and death, never ending rain is a fact of life here. In the winter algae starts growing everywhere water collects. Here are two photos of what I have found in this water sample.

Nice pictures! What is the cell component responsible for green (or might be blue with green barrier filter) autofluorescence in second picture?

Thanks. Not sure what it is... I neglected to take a DIC photo. You are right, with a lower wavelength emission filter the auto fluorescence is indeed blue:
