Why is it that when you get old and retire, that you can better relate to mycologicial subject matter? :-k These are really wonderful as I do enjoy seeing such. :smt023

Well, this is not a general fact. I know multiple people that share this passion for mycology that are not old and retired, luckily for me.

Lovely pictures by the way.

Thank you,

few comments to my set

what actually I do not like in fluorescence photomicrography (in particular in my case) - is what I call "chalk effect", which comes from two things - noise and overcontrasting.
In the turn, some noise comes from high ISO (not my case, but very often in scientific journals) and stacking (e.g. ZS which I really like and use often). So, strong chalk effect you can clearly see in my second picture.
To reduce the noise I tried PS4 "denoiser", but it did not help much. After posting of these set of pictures, I decided to try another denoisers and wow! Topaz DeNoise 5 helped! Here, just to compare, upgraded version of second picture (denoised) . I like it a bit more.
