First test automated X Y pan

I thought I'd choose an appropriate coin, a 2 GBP coin with gear design to test the automated X Y sample stage shown here http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... hp?t=22147

The first image is the resulting 3.9 giga pixels image and could be printed at 152 x 101 inches at 300 pix/inch. The bottom left corner shows how the image was made from individual Olympus Neo Span 5x images, the second image shows an example as outlined by the black box in the first image. This was an automated pan with single focal plane images with no focus stacking
