2nd posting: Arranged Klaus Kemp diatom set

Post by Brian Matsumoto »

This is a diatom arrangement by Klaus Kemp, illuminated with a color Heine condenser. This was a bit of an oddball picture in that I used a 2.5X Leitz objective. The condenser partially illuminated the field of view of the lens so there is an intensity fall off at the periphery.

Using two annuli of light of light, one colored green and the other color red, it is possible to get a dual darkfield color effect.
