future water-snails?

Five days ago I found in plankton a floating egg-mass. I think these are future water-snails. Other ideas?

DIC, seawater-plankton, objectiv 10x

Agree - snail eggs. I would frequently find these masses on golf balls I fished out of water hazards that had been in the water for some time.
