Very nice! :wink: I discovered that the Sycamore leaf is covered in these wax crystals too. Which leaf is this?

Very impressive ( though I have the idea of a reptilean eye in my mind, which I can't shake!).

Does alcohol used in the drying not interfere with the wax? (I apologise if you have already answered this, indirectly.)

Chris,

This leaf was not fixed at all. I used the sputter coater to out gas the water and coated it fairly thick with platinum.
