Jumping Spider eyes

Male Salticidae Genus Phidippus

This dude was a major paIn to mount.
At first I put a drop of Balsam on the slide to hold him up, but in the morning he had tipped over.
So I cleaned him with Xylol and then mounted him upright on a slide using white craft glue.
But the craft glue acted as a lens so that the background wasn't even.
So, I floated model airplane enamel behind the spider which how I got the blue background.l

Thanks, Jacek.
I tried making some UGF filters using overhead transaprency film, but wasn't satisfied with the resukts.
I'm going to spray paint the gradient on some foam core and then shoot it with a 6x6 camera on AgfaPan 25, which should give me very good results.
