Dividing Micrasterias

Post by Olympusman »

I recently made a pond dipping tool out of a telescoping golf ball retriever and a garden claw tool, which allows me to pull up samples of pond plants at greater depths and farther from shore. The result is I am getting far different samples than I had been getting. Most notably, I have fewer Ostracods zooming around in my samples and far more dividing Micrasterias. Here are a couple of samples stacked in Zerene PMAX.
