a Nematode in polarized light

Post by Franz Neidl »

I found this Nematode (roundworm) in the Benthos of the sea. It was a little bit more than 3 mm long.
The nematods dont have circumferential muscles. Therefore there movement is very strange. Because of the sudden movents it is not easy to photograph them.
Brightfield with polarized light, objective 4x.

Franz,
Very nice, especially considering stopping the action in polarized light.
