Hello,
recently I run across a real red-headed Stentor igneus. It is know to be slightly pink, but I have never seen before such a strong colored individual. The first pic gives an overall view. It is a manual stitch of 2 seperate pics, the stentor was a bit too long under the 40x objective.

And, for comparison, a Stentor coerulus. This species shows not red but blue pigment grains in its pellicle.
And, as you might already know, there are even green ones out there...
