Dear Jacek,

have you noted that the last photo shows a Bosmina specimen parasitized by Coelosporidium chydoricola, which belongs to the little studied Haplosporidia? The parasites are the ovoid structures between the gut and the brood chamber. The parasite has been described by Green, J. (1974). “Parasites and epibionts of Cladocera.” Trans. zool. Soc. Lond. 32: 417-515.

Hi Jacek,

May I ask what DIC system (and microscope) you're using? The images look great!

MPI is a head interference - polarization, MPI 5 - the latest.
DIC PZO consists of a head and condenser KPI2
